3 Questions to ask your Budtender Before Going to a Dispensary

The first time you walk into a dispensary can be overwhelming. Unlike calling the friendly neighborhood connect, here you have a variety of options.
Flowers, Edibles, Vapes, Prerolls, Topicals, Tinctures, and Concentrates. Each method is unique. Exploration is the key to finding your favorite consumption method, and Purple Lotus is
here to help.

1. What Products Do You Recommend for Beginners?

The effects of Cannabis are unique to everyone. Not only do the effects depend on one’s weight and metabolism, but also depends on the genetics, age, gender, quantity, and strength of your flower. This is why, for beginners, it’s important to let your budtender know you are new to Cannabis consumption. These experts can guide you in the right direction of a low-dose edible, or high CBD flower.

Pro tip: The basic rule of thumb when using Cannabis is to start slowly, wait for a little after consuming, and then slowly smoke or consume more if you feel comfortable.
Did you know: Feeling overwhelmed? Too High? Chewing whole peppercorns or taking a whiff of ground pepper will help calm you down. The terpenes in black pepper work synergistically with THC to create a calming, therapeutic effect.

2. How Do I Use This Product?

Now that you have found a product that works for you, how do you use it? Smoke, eat, or apply topically? Your budtender has the answers.
Smoke – Flowers, Vapes, Concentrates, and Pre-Rolls are Cannabis products found in a dispensary that you use by inhaling the smoke.
THC travels into your bloodstream quickly enough for you to get high in seconds or minutes.
The THC level usually peaks in about 30 minutes, and its effects may wear off in 1-3 hours.
Eat – Edibles, Capsules, and Cannabis Drinks are ingested.
Edibles deliver cannabinoids to the body through the mouth and digestive system and are generally an alternative to smoking or vaping cannabis.
Apply Topically – Topicals include anything that is applied directly to the surface of the skin, such as balms, lotions, creams, oils, and even transdermal patches. Cannabis topicals work by directly entering the bloodstream via the skin. Once in the
bloodstream, they bind with different cannabinoid receptors in your endocannabinoid system.

3. What do you have in stock that might help with ______?

Like Cannabis strains, everyone is unique in their way. Some consume Cannabis to help aid with pain and discomfort, and some simply relax and unwind. At Purple Lotus, we carry 700+ products to help you find what works uniquely for you.
